T6 info

Two sites one sixth form

Students will be able to access both our Surrenden Site (Turner Free School) and Broadmead Site (Folkestone Academy).

The aim is to provide all students with the very best that our trust has to offer. All students will receive a chromebook to use for the duration of their studies making working at two sites much easier. All sixth form students benefit from having their own designated sixth form study areas across both sites.

Moving between Sites

Smart timetabling will make student movement across sites much easier as movement time will be built into the timetable.  All sixth form students will be issued with an ID card that they will be able to use to register their attendance at each site.

At Turner Sixth Form we foster a culture of dedication, curiosity and ambition.

In addition to subject-specific opportunities, we guarantee all students access to 10 enriching activities during their time with us, including sporting events, competitions, guest speakers, trips and visits.

Work Experience

Our careers team, teachers and progress tutors work with students in order to identify bespoke work experience opportunities that are linked to students’ ambitions and future career goals.

Internships

Our internship programme includes numerous opportunities for students to work within a professional context to develop the skills required for future success. Current students are completing internships at Academy FM, in early years settings, primary schools and as part of our art scholarship programme.
