Turner Sixth Form is pleased to offer a broad curriculum that allows students to gain the qualifications necessary to academically challenge them, enhance their talents and prepare them for their next steps. Students are encouraged to choose 3 courses in total. These can be a combination of BTEC and A Level.
It is a requirement that all students need to achieve a 4 in either GCSE English language or English literature to study at Sixth Form. If a 4 has or above has been achieved in English Literature but not in English Language students will be required to re-sit the English Language exam until they do so. Any pupil not achieving a 4 in Maths will be required to re-sit the exam until they do so.
At Turner Sixth Form we have designed specific pathways that have been constructed, combining subjects that complement each other and ensure that each pupil reaches their potential. We will discuss the pathways and pupils’ interests in more detail at the interview stage.
Courses will be offered subject to enrolment numbers and timetabling. Under-subscribed courses may not run.
Remember that access to Level 3 courses is dependent on achieving the course entry requirements and your predicted grades will be discussed at your meeting.
